Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to work on both commercial and industrial projects. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical principles, safety protocols, and the ability to read blueprints effectively. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Utilize various tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and power tools to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Perform low voltage wiring installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Build and frame carpentry structures as needed for electrical installations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while working on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician in both commercial and industrial settings.
- Proficiency in using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety standards.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations.
