What we need:
We are looking for an electrician apprentice to join our team in Utah. The electrician apprentice will be given the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills and knowledge of electrical systems through a structured apprenticeship program, working alongside a licensed electrician to assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and components while actively participating in classroom training to gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience to eventually become a fully licensed electrician.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assisting Licensed Electricians: Actively support experienced electricians in all aspects of electrical work including wire pulling, conduit bending, installing electrical fixtures, and mounting electrical panels.
- Learning Basic Electrical Concepts: Gain understanding of electrical codes, safety procedures, basic wiring techniques, reading blueprints, and identifying electrical components.
- On-the-Job Training: Participate in hands-on training on various electrical projects like residential rewiring, commercial lighting installations, and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Classroom Instruction: Attend scheduled classes to learn electrical theory, calculations, troubleshooting methods, and relevant industry standards.
- Basic Troubleshooting: Assist in identifying and diagnosing minor electrical issues under supervision.
- Material Handling: Properly handle and organize electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintaining Worksite Cleanliness: Keep work areas organized and clean up debris after completing tasks.

- Basic Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of hand tools and ability to learn new technical skills
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods
- Attention to Detail: Precise and meticulous approach to work with electrical wiring and connections
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to following all safety protocols and procedures
- Problem-solving Skills: Ability to analyze situations and identify potential electrical issues
- Willingness to Learn: Enthusiasm for acquiring new knowledge and skills within the electrical field

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is a plus. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience: Enrollment in or completion of an apprentice program.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in outdoor and potentially harsh weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 pounds) and stand for long periods.
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and other means of egress necessary to inspect progress of the work.
Travel requirements:
- Travel to local project sites.
