Overview:
HYLL Plumbing & HVAC is searching for a candidate to join our Preconstruction Department. We are looking for a driven individual interested in joining a team pursuing work from $25,000 to $10 Million in size from small tenant improvements Restaurants CMU Commercial Schools to 4-7 story multi family projects.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare estimates to Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, plumbing, and air conditioning systems
- Prepare complete take-offs, analyses, estimates, and value engineering for all items incorporated in the assigned scope.
- Serve as point of contact with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
- Maintain estimating logs, vendor and subcontractor quotes within project folders for all projects daily.
- Responsible for ensuring assigned projects are completed on time.
- Prepare and assemble bids and proposals for different contract types (Lump Sum, Target Value Design, FLCC, etc.).
- Working with management and operations to ensure that the estimate properly addresses general requirements.
Qualifications:

- 3+ years of Estimating and project managing experience in Plumbing and Mechanical fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Understanding of commercial HVAC & Plumbing systems.
- Experience with Trimble Autobid software is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with digital onscreen take-off systems. (Currently use Stack Software)
- Design-build estimating experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is preferred but not required.
- Technical Certifications or College degree preferred.
- Preferential Qualifications:
- - Strong knowledge of Plumbing/HVAC systems and components- Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards- Proficient in using Plumbing and HVAC tools and equipment- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings- Excellent problem-solving skills- Strong communication and interpersonal skillsSkills:- Price estimation
