We are currently seeking an experienced Low Voltage Service Technician (CCTV, Access Control and Fire) to join our team!
Position Description:
As a Low Voltage Service Technician you will be responsible for installing, servicing and programming our customized security, access control, data and/or fire alarm offerings.
Essential Job Functions:
- Effectively manages time on installations, staying on or below budgeted man hours for each project.
- Effectively performs installations on multiple projects and provides weekly updates to the Supervisor and/or Account Manager.
- Works closely with scheduling coordinator to ensure projects are completed on or before assigned deadlines.
- Works with contractors and/or customers to identify any and all necessary change orders. Then presents this information to the Supervisor and/or Account Manager.
- Communicates effectively in visual, oral and written form.
- Demonstrates ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.
- Promotes collaboration, partnerships and positive long lasting relationships with customers.
- Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending improvements.
- Maintains customer confidence by keeping customer information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Continually enforces safety to the highest standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Low Voltage Systems (Card Access, Video, Fire Alarm, and Intrusion) related experience
- Demonstrates excellent problem solving and negotiating skills
- Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Grasp on current market conditions and product trends
- Ability to operate effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Great written as well as verbal communication skills
