Job Summary
Electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Execute electrical wiring plans for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems.
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and other systems.
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels, etc.)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring compatibility of components.
- Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them.
- Prevent system breakdown by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc.
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills
Required:
- Five years of electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or residential.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and making repairs promptly.
- Proficient in installing electrical panel systems, conduit, wiring, and fixtures.
- Proficient in working with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment.
License/Certification
Preferred:
- Journeyman Electrician License (preferred).
- Valid Driver’s License.

Working Environment & Conditions/Physical Requirements

- Push, pull, or carry heavy fixtures/material.
- Must be able to move or lift more than 75 lbs.
- Travel may be required per project, which needs 20-30%.
- Occasionally extended hours and overtime may be required to meet workload demands.
- Proficiency in operating aerial lift equipment is required.
