We are seeking a Generated Gases Maintenance Planner within our Project Resource and Outage Support (PROS) Group: WFH (work from home) from Texas, Louisiana or Pennsylvania and travel 25-40% to different sites in those states and other regions depending on assigned workload. This is a diverse group that supports Industrial Gases (IG) North America capital projects, strategic planning, turnaround (TAR) planning, and turnaround execution. This allows our team to provide specialized services and additional capacity for infrequent events to operational assets. This role reports to the Technical Planning Manager.
The primary responsibility of the Generated Gas Maintenance Planner is to actively lead maintenance activities and outages at the Air Products’ fleet of small plants, which produce nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, and other bulk gases. The Maintenance Planner will assist in developing work scopes as well as estimating cost related to labor, materials, and equipment, to complete the job in a safe and efficient manner. You will constantly collaborate with all site personnel, contracted crafts, equipment suppliers, tool rental providers, engineering, and functional support services. The performance measures of turnarounds include Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) performance, Reliability of the assets, Completion on schedule, and spending within budget.
Required Skills / Abilities:
Responsible for planning of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities for generated gas facilities with high standards for safety and quality of workmanship.
Review drawings, specifications, company standards, equipment manuals, etc. to determine scope of work.
Tracking and providing updates on progress of schedules including projected delivery times of parts on order.
Enforce and participate in disciplined Materials Management practices to ensure accurate goods issuance and return to inventory of repaired/replenished spare parts.
Drive safety in execution activities by assigning responsibility for Air Products basic safety program (BSP) as well as any improvements or audits as required by scope.
Responsible for maintaining communications between operations and maintenance technicians to assign job and work priorities. Assist the regional capital projects group in scheduling with maintenance and operations resources.
Track PM compliance and drive the team to meet compliance goals of 100%.
Assist operations in generating M5 notifications then maintaining accurate outage worklists. Build maintenance revisions to supervise and accurately report costs to the organization.
This role is a Safety Sensitive Position
Qualifications and Licensing Requirements:
5 plus years' experience in maintenance in an industrial setting.
High School Diploma.
Able to work without close supervision.
Effective and strong communication skills.
Organized, focused, and able balance multiple priorities and parallel tasks.
Understands standards as outlined by Air Products and regulatory agencies.
Works professionally and collaboratively with co-workers, supervisors, management, support personnel, program participants, and business-related persons.
Uses positive and constructive demeanor toward resolution of problems and conflicts.
Able to demonstrate remaining calm in demanding situations.
Ability to work within and promote a teamwork philosophy.
Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook) SAP, Primavera P6.
SAP and Primavera P6 is a plus.
Availability to take calls after hours and weekends to assist with coordinating maintenance technician emergency call outs as well as support in plant activities as needed.
Valid Drivers' License and good driving record required.
Work Hours & Benefits:
Typical work week is 40 hours. Monday to Friday. ~8am-5pm. Travel is required across the U.S. The work environment is diverse from an office setting to onsite at Air Products operating facilities.
