Responsibilities
Responsible for establishing the overall direction of the Facilities department, its operational responsibilities, projects, policies and professional methodologies. Provides direction for design, construction, maintenance and environmental services to maintain the physical plant assets. Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key external Facilities partners in design and construction, as well as AI/Automation to support healthcare facilities of the future.
Responsible for managing to operational budgets and staffing to workload targets. Acts as the departmental liaison to administration and physician leadership. Maintains an active leadership development program to ensure future continuity and professional resources to meet the needs of the institution. Focus on establishing and maintaining a Category of One service delivery model to support practice, education, research and diversified activities.
Receives direction from the enterprise Chair of Facilities & Support Services and the Chair of Administrative Services as well as other senior medical and administrative leadership. Collaborates with enterprise Facilities leaders for best practices. Supports the work of committees that manage and make decisions for space, capital and projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 10 years' relevant professional and senior administrative experience in healthcare, healthcare-adjacent or digital/tech industries required. Master's degree preferred. Requires an understanding of campus planning, building design, construction, facilities operations, environmental services, and engineering. Must possess strong communication, writing, team building, finance, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
