Master/Certified Service Technician Job Description:
The Huffines Master/Certified Service Technician is a subject matter expert and utilizes their experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in the process of inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining customer vehicles. The Huffines Master/Certified Service Technician helps customer satisfaction by providing accurate, consistent, and timely services. They use industry-standard shop equipment and tools to perform repair work and document repair orders and recommendations.
Master/Certified Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing
- Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs
- Repairs automobiles and light trucks as assigned
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards
- Ensures the shop runs efficiently by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions
- Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules
- Performs other duties as assigned
Master/Certified Service Technician Requirements:
- Valid ASE or Manufacturer Certification (required)
- Minimum three years of dealer-level experience
- Average 60+ flag hours on weekly basis
- Some post-secondary automotive training
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others and be a team player
- Results-oriented self-starter
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Verifiable technical performance record
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering world-class customer service
- Demonstrated desire to learn new processes and adapt quickly
- Proficiency in computer skills
