Position Summary
To assist in the attainment of District goals through effective and efficient maintenance, installation and repair of
building plumbing, irrigation, and related mechanical systems.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with installations, services, and repairs of piping system for water, gas, drains and compressed air.
2. Assist in minor maintenance on refrigerated water fountains.
3. Assist with services, repairs and adjust mixing valves, backflow preventer devices, regulators, and other
valves.
4. Assist with installations, maintenance, and repair commercial water heaters and circulating system.
5. Assist with cleaning and maintaining existing plumbing systems and grease traps using electric operated
augers.
6. Read and interpret plans, diagrams, and code requirements for proper and safe installation of plumbing
system.
7. Assist with maintenance, repairs, and testing landscape irrigation systems.
8. Maintain accurate and timely work order records
9. Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected
for this position.
Minimum Requirements
- High School or GED equivalent recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency.
- 2+ years of related experience.
- General experience in plumbing
- Registered as a Plumber’s Apprentice in Texas
- Pursuing a Drain Cleaner Registration
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Candidate may work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational
needs.
- Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee
(approximately $50.00) paid by the employee.
