Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled, creative, outgoing, and experienced Learning and Development Trainer to join our team and play a crucial role in shaping the knowledge and skills of our workforce in the Heating and Cooling industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background of technical experience in the HVAC industry training, a creative approach to curriculum development, excellent communication skills, and a passion for educating others. As a Trainer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering technical training programs to our technicians ensuring they have the expertise to excel in their roles.
What You’ll Do
Initial Need: The primary focus will be around implementing our entry level HVAC technical training program in Ace Academy. You will optimize current utilization of the program and implement the program at all branches. You will administer and track progress with management.
Additionally:
Conduct and Lead Training Sessions: Lead engaging, innovative, and informative training sessions, both in-person and possibly through virtual platforms, to educate technicians and other employees on the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices.
Develop Training Programs: Design, develop, and implement training programs for HVAC employees, covering a range of topics such as installation, maintenance, customer experience, troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
Create Training Materials: Develop and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, and multimedia resources, to support the training programs and ensure they align with industry advancements, and company standards.
Stay Informed: Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and changes in regulations to continuously update training content and ensure its relevance.
Assessment and Evaluation: Implement assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, track employee progress, and identify areas for improvement.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, subject matter experts, and industry partners to enhance the overall training program and ensure it meets the organization's goals.
Adaptability: Continuously assess and update existing curriculum materials to incorporate feedback, technological advancements, and changes in industry standards.
What you need to succeed:
- Proven training experience in the service industry, with a general technical understanding of PHCE systems.
- Ability to travel up to 40%, required.
- Previous experience in designing and delivering training programs, required.
- Experience with Learning Management System (LMS), preferrable SABA Cloud
- Experience with Instructional Design software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt training methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
