Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, including experience with ammonia refrigeration and air conditioning units. This role involves maintaining and servicing various heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance.
Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/R systems including ammonia refrigeration and air conditioning units.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues within HVAC systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed on equipment and any parts used during repairs.
- Collaborate with other service technicians to complete projects in a timely manner while adhering to safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and explaining technical issues in an understandable manner.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role with a focus on mechanical knowledge.
- Familiarity with various HVAC systems including the ability to refrigerate and boil as needed for specific applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel to job sites.
- Certification in HVAC or relevant technical training is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
