Summary/Main Objective
Oversee the roof construction processes of the solar installation to ensure timely and quality work is being achieved and assist the Electrical Lead as needed.
Essential Functions
Job Duties
· Manage project materials to ensure crew has what is needed for quality completion of each project
· Perform roof layout on any roof type according to plan
· Perform electrical equipment installation including bending and mounting conduit, wiring disconnects, combiners and enclosures, commissioning photovoltaic solar systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· Lead roof construction processes of the solar installation, Manage daily safety plans, communicate throughout the day with homeowners and installation managers.
· Assign duties to the Installation crew.
· Supervise the Installation crew and maintain company standards of safety and workmanship.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
· Lift up to 50 lbs.
· Work in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces
· Work in Extreme Temperatures
· No fear heights or steep roofs
· Be comfortable working ten to twelve hour days
· Climb ladders often
· Stand for long periods of time
Additional Requirements:* Knowledge/Skills/Abilities*
· Must have great organizational, communication, time management, problem-solving, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
· Must be reliable and punctual
· OSHA 10 knowledge is a plus
· Ability to manage professionally
· 2 years of experience in the solar industry
· Comprehensive knowledge of the solar installation processes required
· Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Must have knowledge of electrical requirements and codes and be able to determine accuracy of solar plansets.
