Our Superintendents work in the field to perform installations of fire alarm and clean agent/special hazard suppression systems. In this position you will serve as a lead on the job site for other technicians and subcontractors, ensure compliance with safety regulations, provide excellent customer service, and ensure quality craftsmanship. Must be located in or around the Phoenix, AZ area, have knowledge of fire alarm programming, ability to read blueprints, and five years' experience in service and/or installation of fire alarm or special hazard fire suppression systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take a lead role at customer sites, providing oversight and direction to other ORR technicians or sub-contractors.
- Work with the project manager and install coordinator to keep the customer informed of job progress.
- Complete all necessary job-related paperwork for compliance and documentation.
- Respond to emergency service requests and take appropriate action.
- Perform in-depth troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of system equipment.
- Conduct training with customers on the functionality of the fire system.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Fire Alarm license, preferred
- Five years’ experience in service and/or installation of fire alarm or special hazard fire suppression systems, required.
- Experience reading blue prints, required.
- Fire alarm programming experience, required.
- Associate degree in electronics or related field, preferred.
- NICET (Fire Alarm / Special Hazard) certification, preferred.
- Experience with the following manufacturers: Kidde, Fenwal, Notifier, Fike, FCI, preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This is a remote position that would be deployed from the associate’s home to local job sites for installs, service, or repairs.
- Company vehicle, tools, technology, cell phone, and equipment provided.
- Occasional on-call days and/or overtime required for unscheduled service needs.
- Job duties require the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and crawl into tight or awkward places.
- Overnight travel required up to 25% of the time.
