Summary
The Electrical Journeyman will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings with limited supervision. Their expertise will be crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment, complying with electrical codes and regulations, and troubleshooting electrical issues. This role requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Safety First – Put safety first and production second. Always.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes.
- Collaborate with construction teams to plan and execute electrical installations in new and existing structures.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they become problems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Utilize testing equipment to identify faults and determine the appropriate course of action for resolution.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Implement and promote safety protocols to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Stay informed about industry trends, changes in regulations, and advancements in electrical technology.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including installations, repairs, and inspections.
- Maintain the attitude and skills to complete lower job title (apprentice) work.
- Maintain an understanding of Electrical theory and NFPA 70 National Electric Code.
- Must continue to work towards training and certifications for work-related jobs.
- Ensure the highest level of safety and quality control requirements are upheld.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
- This job operates in a field environment. Must be in good physical condition with the ability to routinely bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, lift 50lbs or more, lift in awkward positions, stand, and twist for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
- Must have sound vision to identify color and shading in wires, plans, and materials.
- Must be willing to travel out of market/state as needed.
- May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.
- Must be willing to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive company vehicles. A commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to work in a team environment and be a valued member of the crew and the company.
- Read blueprints and schematics and use an array of tools and diagnostic devices to service and install electrical parts.
- Must be able to find the root cause of issues and think logically about solutions.
- Able to bend conduit with hand or with mechanical benders.
- Capable and willing to dig trenches, either by use of hand tools or with power equipment.
- Must have successfully completed industrial first aid and rescue training.
- Possess a valid Electrical Journeyman license (additional states are a bonus).

Supervisory Requirements
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position.
- Workdays and hours are typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some overtime requirements.
Travel
- Weekly travel is required for this position. Usually between 25-50% of the time.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience as an Electrical Journeyman, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems.
- A valid Electrical Journeyman license.
- OSHA 10hr or OSHA 30hr certifications.
