Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with experience in both industrial and construction environments. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Duties
- Interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to install electrical systems accurately.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Perform high voltage installations and maintenance tasks in accordance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Install and maintain logic controllers as part of automated systems in industrial settings.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in an industrial or construction setting.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical systems.
- Familiarity with high voltage equipment and safety protocols.
- Experience using hand tools and diagnostic instruments effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Knowledge of logic controllers is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
