Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical infrastructure and production equipment within the plant, utilizing expertise in 120V-480V electrical systems. Ensure optimal functionality of equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to identify and resolve issues.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components, ensuring proper configuration.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair or adjustment, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Provide recommendations to management on the safe operation of equipment, identifying potential risks.
- Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to verify compatibility and system safety.
- Utilize tools such as multimeters, pipe benders, and other basic electrical equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Follow established safety protocols, including OSHA safety and health regulations.
- Complete assigned tasks with professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- High level of technical aptitude and capacity to work with high-speed production equipment.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures and loud noise levels.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required during work.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing for extended periods.
- Regularly required to lift and move items over 50 pounds.
Required:
- Technical training with exposure to high-speed equipment.
- 2+ years of related experience working with production machinery.
Preferred:
- Experience with electrical equipment repair, engine repair, or auto repair.
- Completion of vocational school or related technical training.
