BML Services is currently looking for motivated Apprentice Plumbers to join our team.
All licensed Apprentice Plumbers start between $20.90(1A) and $34.20(4B) per hour depending on progress in school and/or experience in the trade.
Apprentices: BML offers unique opportunities to gain hands on knowledge in many different aspects of the Plumbing trade.
The right candidates will be required to work alongside and at the direction of Journeyman Plumbers in a commercial or industrial setting and learn to design and execute the safe installation and/or maintenance of plumbing/mechanical systems and more!
We feel privileged to be able to help aspiring plumbers further themselves in the trade by offering reimbursement for Plumbing apprenticeship schooling tuition and books. Step raises are applied immediately after every successfully completed semester.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting senior plumbers: Carrying, moving, and positioning materials, equipment, and tools
- Performing basic maintenance: Performing basic preventive maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing components: Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing components like toilets, urinals, faucets, and drains
- Responding to plumbing problems: Responding to and repairing water leaks or plumbing problems
- Ensuring safety: Promoting workplace safety and environmental practices
- Reading blueprints: Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Understanding plumbing codes: Understanding plumbing codes and regulations at the state and municipality level
- Earning training hours: Earning a set number of training hours each year
- Working under supervision: Working under the supervision of a licensed plumber
- Completing an apprenticeship program: Completing an apprenticeship program that includes classroom training and on-the-job training
- Passing exams: Passing the Utah Plumber Theory and Practical exams
- The ability to pass a background check.
