GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Construction Worker/Building Maintenance Technician is responsible tbr performing a variety
oftasks involving physical labor and maintenance work on buildings and construction sites. You will
be responsible for perfbrming various tasks related to construction, renovation. and maintenance
projects. ensuring that all work is completed sat-ely, efficiently. and in compliance with relevant
codes and standards.

I'SSENTIALJOB FTINCTIONS:

o Assists carpenters. plumbers. electricians and other skilled trades.
. Inspects facilities city wide as required to ensure saf'ety and designed function.
. Maintains records and makes reports.

Construction Duties:
. Perform, direct and supervise construction projects, including demolition. framing. drywall

installation. fl ooring. and finishing.
. Operate hand and power tools to perlorm tasks such as digging fienches. mixing ooncrete, and

erecting scaffolding.
. Follow blueprints. sketches. and instructions from supervisors to ensure accuracy and quatity in

construction work.

Maintenance Duties:
. Conduct routine inspections ofbuildings and facilities to identifo maintenance needs.
. Perform repairs on electrical. plumbing, HVAC systems, and other building systems as needed.
. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime and ensure

operational efliciency.

Safety and Compliance:
. Adhere to all safbq protocols and procedures to maintain a sat'e working environment.
. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure its proper use at all times.
. Follow local building codes. regulations. and safet-v standards in all construction and maintenance

activities.

MINIMUM OUALIFICATION CONTINUE

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. Training or
experience in other trades such as carpentry. plumbing, and electrical.
