Field Service Technician – Wastewater Treatment Systems
We are presently seeking a full-time Field Service Technician to join our team. This position involves providing on-site service to our installed wastewater treatment equipment. On-site services can include equipment start-up, commissioning and training as well as troubleshooting operational issues. Technicians in this role are required to travel within the USA & Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance/inspection visits to project sites in the USA. & Canada.
- Conduct start-up & commissioning services for installed wastewater treatment equipment.
- Perform diagnostics and analysis to troubleshoot and repair wastewater treatment equipment.
- Complete paperwork related to tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
- Communicate positively with customers and co-workers and maintain excellent customer rapport.
- Responsible for following company and customer safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Wastewater Operator Certificate (Class 2 or 3) with exposure to troubleshooting motor drives and predictive logic controllers would be a plus. A professional Science Degree and/or Technical College Diploma is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 5 yrs. of mechanical experience.
- Technical or installation experience with wastewater filtration equipment is considered an asset.
- Experience with control panels and their components.
- Ability to interpret operating manuals and engineering drawings relevant to the design and construction of facilities and equipment operation.
- Self-driven and highly motivated, act with diplomacy and maintain confidentiality.
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn, be dependable, and be consistent with efforts.
- General proficiency in utilizing MS Office software applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must possess a flexible and adaptive approach to work schedule and time management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well within a Team environment with minimal supervision.
- Availability and ability to perform standby duties, respond to emergencies, and work outside normal scheduled hours, as required. Although rarely, working weekends can occur.
- Physical stamina and ability to climb on or into elevated tanks, work in confined spaces, treatment tanks, and work near high voltage electrical equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License and Passport and willing to travel throughout the USA and Canada as required.
- Be willing and open to early and late flight times to and from your home airport.
- Travel approximately 75% plus weekend work may be required.
