Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled AND EXPERIENCED Sheet Metal Fabricator Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and ensuring that all installations meet industry standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Selecting materials: Choosing the right type of sheet metal based on design plans or building specifications as per blueprints.
- Measuring and marking: Measuring and marking dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets
- Drilling: Drilling holes for screws, bolts, and rivets
- MAKING HVAC DUCTWORK
- Fabricating: Fabricating or altering parts at construction sites or on residential roofs and attics
- Fastening: Fastening seams or joints by welding, bolting, riveting, or soldering
- Operating equipment: Setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal
- Shaping: Shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using a hammer
- Inspecting: Inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints
- Climbing on roofs to measure curbs and stands for new installation.
- Operating a forklift with certification.
Experience:
- Proven experience 5 YEARS MINIMUM as a Sheet Metal Fabricator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, residential and commercial ductwork.
- Management experience with strong communication skills.
- Sheet metal installation a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints THIS is a deal breaker.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- OSHA Certificate
This position is at a warehouse where temperatures fluctuate wildly. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must know how to operate fabricating equipment. Must know basic math to calculate measurements. Strong attention to detail and precision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
