Our current project, Home at Maricopa, is a 536 Unit Multi-family community with 6 apartment buildings and a clubhouse on 18.8 acres in the City of Maricopa. The apartment buildings are 4 and 5 story concrete and steel construction buildings. The clubhouse is a single-story wood framed building.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Installer to join our construction team, specializing in multifamily housing projects. The ideal candidate will have experience installing various types of tile in kitchens and bathrooms, including backsplashes and shower surrounds. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install tile (ceramic, porcelain, stone, or glass) on kitchen backsplashes, shower walls, and bathroom surrounds in multifamily buildings.
- Prepare and level surfaces by cleaning substrates and applying underlayment or backer boards as necessary.
- Measure and cut tiles to fit around obstacles and into tight spaces using hand and power tools.
- Mix and apply mortar, adhesives, or thin-set to secure tiles onto surfaces.
- Apply grout and clean surfaces to ensure a professional finish.
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and plumbers to ensure proper installation.
- Inspect and repair any damages or imperfections in installed tile.
- Follow all building codes, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite to ensure efficient workflow.
- Communicate with project managers and superintendents regarding progress, material needs, and any challenges encountered.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a tile installer, particularly in multifamily construction settings.
- Knowledge of various tile materials and installation techniques, especially for kitchen and bathroom applications.
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and layouts to execute tile designs according to project specifications.
- Proficiency in using tile cutting tools, mortar mixers, and other relevant equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and position tiles, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- General clean up and removal of debris.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Work Environment:
- Work will be performed at various multifamily housing construction sites.
- Occasional exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions depending on the job site.
