Technician - entry level (I) - HVAC, 2nd & 3rd shift, Plano, TX

What you'll do
The entry level Technician entry - HVAC position will support the Electrical business by setting up and performing a variety of tests on HVAC appliances for performance. The Technician will perform tests in a both a laboratory and site environment. We’re looking for technically competent individuals who will follow and enforce all safety requirements/company policies and provide exceptional customer service.
Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $23 - $28 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

Schedules
2nd shift: 2:00 PM to 11:00PM
3rd shift: 10:00 PM to 7:00AM
What you’ll do:
- Set up test, test equipment and test apparatus.
- Prepare test samples.
- Perform basic analysis of test data and routine calculations.
- Interact with customers in a professional manner including appearance and attitude
- Diligent safety practices, knowledge of OSHA standards, and use of safety equipment as required by management
- Work closely with lead/ crew members and take direction to complete projects within certain policies and procedures
- Daily cleanup and maintenance of projects, work equipment, work site, vehicles and organize all tools and materials
- Perform site survey activities with a team
- Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety
- Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment
- Perform other work as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0 years of experience
- Computer skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines
- Ability to use basic shop equipment and various hand tools
- Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
- Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats
- Must be customer focused and quality driven.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time, or as business dictates.
- A valid driver's license and reliable driving record.
- Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work.
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- Trade school certification or associate degree in a technical field
- 1+ years of relatable experience in an HVAC laboratory environment
- OSHA safety certification
- Intermediate knowledge with Microsoft Office
