Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team on various construction sites. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with construction plumbing tasks. The Journeyperson Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in both residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems according to local codes and regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various plumbing tasks.
- Perform pipe threading and welding as needed for system installations.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians to ensure proper integration of plumbing systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or necessary repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on construction sites.
- Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and clients regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Plumber or similar role in the plumbing industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction plumbing techniques and best practices.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations.
- Experience with pipe threading, welding, and the use of hand tools specific to plumbing work.
- Valid commercial driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently when required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
