JOB DESCRIPTION- UTILITY TECHNICIAN
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Service all assigned accounts by using a systematic approach and following a detailed procedure as outlined in verbal or written instructions.
- Maintain and be responsible for inventory in service vehicle and proper record keeping of product usage as well as all company issued equipment.
- Check and be responsible for daily service work, and prepare daily summary of activities as assigned.
- Attend meetings, seminars and training sessions to continue the learning process.
- Create a professional image for the company at all times to maintain the highest level of excellence in customer satisfaction
- Expected to wear uniform and maintain neat, clean appearance.
- Be available (availability does not mean set hours) to work 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday as well as a possible Saturday when needed as scheduled in advance.
Essential Job Functions
- Knowledge of handyman services and light construction background (attic insulation performed, replacement of soffits and facia, gutter installations, etc.)
- Skill in oral and written communication.
- Skill in prioritizing work, and making adjustments on short notice.
- Skill in promoting cooperation, building teamwork, and resolving conflict.
- Ability to enter/exit structures, attics, and crawl spaces.
- Ability to climb ladders over and on top of structures, including attics
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to frequently and regularly kneel, bend, stoop, crawl, ascend and descend stairs with and without equipment.
- Ability to operate company vehicle without special accommodation.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school Diploma or GED certificate
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Prior experience in providing handyman type services or construction type services.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Immediately report to management any loss of required license.
