Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pipe Foreman to oversee various municipal projects, primarily focused on water, sewer, reclaim, and storm management. The ideal candidate will manage a single crew across projects valued between $20,000 and $500,000, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead and manage repair-based contracts and work orders, ensuring project goals are met efficiently.
- Crew Management: Supervise one crew at a time, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.
- Jobsite Operations: Run the jobsite, managing daily activities and maintaining communication with the Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Financial Management: Manage cost codes and pay items related to project budgets.
- Equipment Knowledge: Utilize knowledge of heavy equipment including backhoes, rollers, loaders, and tractors to ensure proper operation and maintenance, without necessarily operating the machinery yourself.
- Communication: Foster daily communication with team members and management to ensure smooth project execution.
- Leadership: Exhibit strong leadership skills to motivate and guide the crew, maintaining a hardworking and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in field supervision, particularly within municipal projects related to water and sewer systems.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Equipment Proficiency: Familiarity with heavy machinery used in construction and maintenance.
- Hardworking Attitude: A strong work ethic and commitment to achieving project objectives.
