Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Pool Builder to join our growing team in Austin, Texas. The Certified Pool Builder will be responsible for the construction, installation, and renovation of residential and commercial swimming pools. This role involves working closely with clients, architects, engineers, and our internal team to ensure every project meets safety standards, quality expectations, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pool Construction & Installation: Oversee all phases of pool construction from excavation, plumbing, and electrical work to framing and installation of pool equipment.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret pool designs, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation.
- Project Management: Manage on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients throughout the building process to provide updates and address any questions or concerns.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards. Implement best practices for job site safety.
- Pool Equipment Installation: Install and test pool systems including filters, heaters, pumps, and lighting.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and address any issues related to pool construction or equipment, ensuring a timely resolution.
- Team Supervision: Supervise a team of subcontractors, laborers, and junior builders, ensuring that work is completed to company standards.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect final work to ensure pools meet company and industry standards before handing off to the client.
Requirements:
- Certified Pool Builder designation (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in pool construction, building, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of pool building materials, equipment, and techniques.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and zoning laws.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with residential and commercial pools.
- Knowledge of advanced pool systems such as saltwater pools, automation, and energy-efficient technologies.
- Experience with shotcrete concrete/gunite pool construction.
- Familiarity with eco-friendly and sustainable pool-building practices.
