The Grand Baltimore, an exceptional event site located in downtown Baltimore is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Grand is the host to many weddings and banquet events. This position supports the staff and is critical to our success. Come join our team at the Grand Baltimore. Responsibilities Includes
- Welcome all guest and team members.
- Engage with the guest throughout their stay to ensure they feel welcomed and appreciated.
- Conducts walk-through and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure(s) of the event site, all mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C. systems and any other related equipment.
- Ensures completion of all routine maintenance on public spaces and back of the house spaces.
- Maintain and repair doors, furniture, hardware, windows, hang artwork, etc.
- Climb on ladders, stoop, push or pull heavy furniture, and grasp hand tools.
- Visually inspect, diagnose problems, take measurements and make necessary adjustments to items such as door hardware to ensure safe, smooth operation of guestrooms, public space and back of the house facilities.
- Clean and paint all areas of the property.
- Keep the grounds clean and well maintained.
- Perform other general maintenance duties in and around the property.
Job Skills:
- Basic knowledge of skilled trade activities in plumbing, carpentry, electrical and mechanical work and painting.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of kitchen equipment.
- Skill in the use of a variety of skilled trade tools (including both hand and electric tools).
Job Requirements:
- Must have 1 year maintenance experience in hotel or comparable facility.

Pay: $20.00 - $20.50 per hour
