Fast Growing Union Mechanical Contractor Company located in Baltimore area is looking for Mechanical Estimator to join our team.
Duties require the following:
- Must be able to read and understand Design Build as well as drawings and project specifications and have a firm understanding of the bidding process.
- Must be able to construct a bid packet in its entirety for bid submittal.
- Performs detailed project takeoffs and prepares estimates for management review
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure scopes and prices for materials & equipment.
- Candidate will be expected to interact with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Work closely with Project Managers and estimating team to identify cost saving options.
- Must be able to travel to various project locations.
- Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating
- Build schedules needed to complete a project
- Travels to job sites and attend meetings
- Data management including submittals, change orders, closeout etc.
- Performs additional duties directed by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years’ experience conducting estimates on HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Great communication skills.
- Neat in appearance and good verbal communication.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with Design Build is a must.
- Must have good computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of McCormick Estimating Software and Procore.
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background check

Pay: $81,863.00 - $88,951.00 per year
