Majestic Steel is excited to add a Reliability Tech to our Service Center to 2nd shift! We are looking for talented associates that are ready for a rewarding career at a company that’s redefining the steel service center industry. This role monitors and conducts preventative maintenance on equipment and building. They also assist in completing special projects that may be assigned to the area while also performing duties and responsibilities for the Service Center Operations area consistent with company goals to include safety, quality, productivity and customer service. Please note, 2nd shift is 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM.

What you will do
- Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests, as assigned.
- Responds to equipment breakdowns quickly, troubleshoots resolution in a timely manner as possible.
- Schedule and complete preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance to equipment and building according to established procedures.
- Monitor and maintain all building systems, as assigned.
- Analyze work processes and equipment to make recommendations for improved processes and efficiencies.
- Performs necessary research for repairs and identifies supplies/parts needed to complete the task.
- Maintains superior records in the CMMS System.
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot various production lines.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment, and install new or repaired parts.
- Ability to troubleshoot an anomaly independently.
- Assist in monitoring all work performed by outside contractors.
- Advocate for safety and provide regular safety observations.
- Perform lock-out tag-out as an authorized associate with non-routine or major repairs, as needed.
- Maintain a safe work environment by practicing good work habits, housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
- Other job related duties and special projects as assigned.
Additional
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand 10 hours per day, in addition to walking, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
- Be able to mount, dismount and operate powered industrial equipment.
- Must be able to work in both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.
- Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days, as needed, which includes weekdays and weekends.
Who you are
Education, Training and Experience Requirements
- Five years maintenance experience or Technical Trade school degree.
- Advanced knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fundamentals
- Advanced knowledge of preventative maintenance, repair and or installation of industrial equipment using skills associated with trades such as electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing or welding.
- Experience in MS Office products and windows-based computer applications.
- Technical Trade School degree. (Preferred)
- Ten years maintenance experience. (Preferred)
- Expertise in troubleshooting and repair of flat-rolled steel equipment (i.e. slitter, cut-to-length line), general machinery, and lift trucks. (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
- Expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and welding.
- Expertise in fabrication of effectively complete simple or complex designs.
- Experience with lift truck repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge of electronics and programmable logic control (PLC).
- Knowledge of electrical power.
- Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings (blue prints, schematics, and technical drawings).
- Has access to their own tools and tool box.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and procedures
- Willingness to learn and expand knowledge base and experience.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
- Effective communicate with coworkers, supervision and management.
- Creative, innovative and strategic thinker with the ability to analyze problems and determine the best solution.
