Job Summary
This position provides maintenance of the facilities and related systems to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This will be achieved through safe and efficient completion of a variety of preventive and reactive maintenance tasks, as directed by the Management Staff.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Performs mechanical and electrical maintenance on all distribution center equipment (i.e. powered vehicles, roofs, floors, walls, ceilings, foundations, generators, boilers, garage doors, high speed fabric doors, pallet racking, etc.)
- Proficient in the use of various hand operated and powered tools (pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, mechanical, etc.)
- Assists in operation of snow removal and other ground maintenance duties
- Installs and/or replaces equipment, components, and materials throughout the facilities
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, masonry, glazing, boiler operations, hydraulic, pneumatic, irrigation, welding, pipe fitting, painting, office/cubicle remodels/ repairs and other similar work
- Trouble shoots, diagnoses, and repairs malfunctions in boilers, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, irrigation and other systems, structures, and equipment
- Conducts air sampling in conjunction with investigation of suspected ammonia refrigeration system leaks
- Ability to measure and calculate material and system requirements, prepare material lists and perform required tasks in a safe, timely and efficient manner
- Conforms to all safety regulations and practices
- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs to forklifts, pallet jacks, AC/DC warehouse production equipment
- Performs repairs, maintenance and changes of Industrial batteries as needed
Job Requirements
- Experience in the repair of commercial building systems, forklift, warehouse rolling stock
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, fire protection and sprinkler systems
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and dock leveler maintenance desired
- Must be available to work all days of the week, day and/ or night shift

- Frequent bending/ twisting
- Occasional pushing/pulling
- Occasional to Frequent climbing of ladders and stairs
- Occasional working at heights
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. frequently/ 100 lbs. occasionally
- Frequent reaching at, above, and below shoulder level
- Throughout the workday the incumbent will be physically moving around the warehouse, on various levels for the majority of their day. (80% or more of the workday is spent walking/ standing)
- Potential hazards exist regarding machinery, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanical systems, movement of tractors and trailers, Etc.
- Noise levels in most of the work areas are within acceptable range, however the use of hearing protection is required in areas which exceed acceptable ranges
- Temperatures of the work areas range from -20 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit

Full Time (40) Hours (Shift times are variable)
