Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled PLC Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of programmable logic controllers and be adept at troubleshooting and maintaining complex systems. This role involves working closely with both low and high voltage systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in our operations. The PLC Technician will also engage in field service activities, providing exceptional customer service while addressing technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and detect issues within PLC systems using various tools, including voltmeters and schematics.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on programmable logic controllers, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct vision inspection system checks to ensure quality control of automated processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to militarise new technologies into existing systems.
- Provide field service support to clients, addressing their technical needs promptly and effectively.
- Document all service activities and maintain accurate records for future reference.
- Train customers on the operation of equipment and provide ongoing support as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and associated systems.
- Strong understanding of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with schematics and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to detect problems quickly and efficiently.
- Experience in customer service, demonstrating strong communication skills and a commitment to client satisfaction.
- Knowledge of vision inspection systems is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently in field service environments while adhering to safety protocols.
