Responsibilities:
- Follow a culture that is rich in safety and quality workmanship
- Utilize equipment to excavate ground material around utility poles
- Apply wood preservatives to the ground line area of a pole
- Help install steel trusses to restore wood poles
- Operate company vehicle (if applicable and qualified)
- Perform all other reasonable duties as assigned by the Foreman or Crew Leader
- Work schedules are typically 5-6 days per week, 8-10 hours per day, may require performing stand by duties or on-call work assignments
- Comply with all safety regulations and meet safety requirements to maintain a successful safety record
Requirements:
- Ability to travel for work about 75% of the time with per diem and lodging provided
- High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism
- Ability to work independently, in small groups or a team
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, bend, reach and to move or carry items weighing up to 65 lbs
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and in various hours of the day or night and holidays as required
- Ability to work in terrains mixing and consisting of rocky, steep, uneven ground, wetlands, and flat areas
- Electric utility and telecommunications experience preferred

Additional Information:
The ideal candidate would be comfortable with traveling from location to location within the client’s service territory. Candidates must be comfortable working full time with a minimum of 40 - 45 hours per week. Compensation based on experience.
