Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach classes in our HVAC Program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC courses. The typical teaching load is one course each six-week term. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.
Requirements
- EPA Certified
- At least three years of experience in the field of HVAC/R
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated and results driven
- Prior teaching experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Instruct students in various subjects such as adult education, welding, HVAC/R, automotive repair, logic controllers, and more
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with course objectives
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress
- Demonstrate hands-on skills such as fabricating, welding, and working with HVAC systems
- Incorporate OSHA standards and safety protocols into instructional practices
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
