The Role: The Housekeeping Services Manager ensures MAC facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality, supporting a safe and efficient environment for members and staff. This role leads the laundry and housekeeping operations, fosters sustainable practices, and oversees equipment, budgets, and personnel management to align with the club's goals.
What You'll Do:
- Department Leadership: Oversee all laundry and housekeeping operations, emphasizing sustainability, green cleaning, and cost control.
- Facility Cleanliness & Supplies: Ensure facilities are clean and adequately stocked with towels, uniforms, and linens. Manage supply inventories, vendor relationships, and maintenance of laundry equipment.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping and laundry staff, adapting labor needs to meet club demands.
- Budget Oversight: Develop and manage department operating and capital budgets for materials, supplies, and equipment, including replacement schedules.
- Sustainability Practices: Lead waste management programs, including recycling, composting, and waste hauler contracts.
- Innovation & Compliance: Stay informed of trends in laundry and housekeeping, implement improvements, and ensure adherence to safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Build strong relationships across departments, fostering open communication to enhance service delivery.
- Member Experience: Promote the MAC SHINE policy and ensure quality service for members, including addressing concerns and feedback.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of managerial experience in commercial laundry or housekeeping, with progressive responsibility in operations, budgets, and staff management.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations for laundry and housekeeping in commercial facilities.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in budget management, contract negotiation, and forecasting.
- Strong analytical skills to develop and interpret department metrics.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for reports, presentations, and team collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 lbs.
- Occasional bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, and crawling.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces or outdoor conditions.
