POSITION SUMMARY
With direction from the Director of Manufacturing Engineering & Facilities, the Manufacturing Support Tech is responsible for overseeing the assembly lines for production to identify, verify and troubleshoot product, manufacturing, assembly and quality problems. Works with Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering and Quality to resolve those issues. Ensures the assembly line is operational at all times.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
· Promptly responds to assembly line issues to troubleshoot units in a timely manner
· Verify that unit contains correct parts, proper wiring, and any other aspects that may affect unit operation
· Ensure no line stoppage related to computer equipment, MES Software, wiring, and faulty parts
· Work with appropriate personnel to verify MES programs when a unit is not working correctly to ensure all parameters of program are correct
· Work with quality department to determine any quality issues
· Perform process audits and assist quality technicians as needed
· Communicates quality issues to supervisor, quality department, and any other appropriate personnel
· Immediately inform manufacturing engineering of any down time/line stoppage that can’t be settled/overcome within 15 minutes
· Improve product knowledge by familiarizing self with all product lines
· Improve knowledge and competency of computer software

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Certificates & Licenses: HVAC journeyman license is a plus
Other Requirements: Knowledge of operational excellence principles, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and 5S is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $24.50 per hour
