We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Sprinkler Service Fitters to join our Orange, Los Angeles, and Riverside County Teams. As a crucial member of our organization, you will play a vital role in the installation, modifications, and repairs of fire sprinkler systems. The importance of this role cannot be overstated, as fire sprinkler systems are critical in safeguarding lives and property. We emphasize the highest quality of work and attention to detail to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of these life-saving systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Installation, Modifications, and Repairs:
- Execute the installation, modifications, and repairs of fire sprinkler systems according to work specifications and fire codes.
2. Safety Compliance:
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations, including the proper use of safety equipment.
3. Standardized Practices:
- Follow company and industry standardized practices and methods to ensure consistency and quality.
4. Documentation:
- Complete accurate work tickets and submit them upon completion of the assigned tasks.
- Utilize the timekeeping app to clock in and out promptly.
5. Supervision:
- Work under limited supervision, demonstrating self-initiative and responsibility.
6. Training and Coaching:
- Train and coach fire sprinkler apprentices to foster skill development and adherence to best practices.
7. Education and Meetings:
- Attend training, safety, and education meetings to enhance knowledge of safety concerns and address related issues.
Qualifications:
1. Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation.
2. Knowledge:
- Familiarity with NFPA13, NFPA25, and California Fire Code.
3. Education:
- High school completion or equivalent.
4. License and Certification:
- Valid driver’s license without restrictions.
- Valid Cal Fire fitter certification.
5. Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of measurements.
- Ability to read and understand inspection reports, product specification sheets, O&M manuals, drawings, blueprints, and fire codes.
- Proficiency in operating various electrical and mechanical tools such as saws, wrenches, cutting torches, drills, pipe threader, lifts, ladders, and motor vehicles.
6. Safety Practices:
- Ability to adhere to safety practices.
7. Availability:
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
8. Vehicle Operation:
- Able to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability.
9. Technical Knowledge:
- Complete knowledge of safely operating a pipe threading machine.
10. Documentation and Communication:
- Proficient in preparing and maintaining accurate documentation, both written and electronic (timesheets, work tickets, inspection reports, etc.).
- Clear communication with clients and team members.
11. Problem-Solving and Flexibility:
- Ability to solve practical problems, create action plans, set priorities, and work with flexibility in various circumstances.
12. Work Environment:
- Capable of working with frequent interruptions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
