Responsibilities:
- Estimate Preparation: Develop detailed and accurate estimates for a wide range of commercial HVAC, plumbing, and special projects, including new installations, replacements, retrofits, and custom solutions.
- Documentation Review: Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure all project requirements are clearly understood and accurately reflected in the estimates.
- Supplier Coordination: Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive and precise pricing.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed bid proposals, ensuring they are clear, complete, and professionally presented.
- Budget Monitoring: Track project budgets and update estimates as necessary throughout the project lifecycle to maintain cost control.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry standards, materials, and pricing trends for HVAC, plumbing, and special projects.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of estimating procedures, tools, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial sector, particularly in HVAC, plumbing, or special projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing components, and installation practices.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a strong eye for detail.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, suppliers, and clients.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Educational Background: A degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

- Dallas-Fort Worth, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)
