Maintenance Supervisor
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and newly developed community, Arlo Apartments, off of County Line Road and I-65. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance, as well as responding to emergency repairs, and leading 1 Technician.
Responsibilities
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
- On-call availability 24/7/365 on a rotating schedule, even during off hours is required
- The removal of any ice or snow from common areas during every snowfall is required
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
- Recruit, supervise, and train maintenance technician(s)
- Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs, or maintenance
- Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
- Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations

Skills
- Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role
- Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
- Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations
- Understanding of budgeting and performance management
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities
- An eye for detail
- Computer savvy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma; Degree from a vocational school will be a plus
- Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferred
What we offer
- We pay 5 regular hours to take calls for the week.
- We pay a minimum of 2 hours for any emergency call that you have to respond to plus travel time and mileage if you don't live on-site.
