Plant Manager
Francis Tuttle Technology Center is a vital component of the Oklahoma education system, providing CareerTech training for high school students and adult learners, as well as services for business and industry customers.
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented self-starter with 5+ years of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) experience to manage HVAC physical plant operations and supervise the HVAC team and contractors who service building mechanical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct the work of personnel and perform duties including, but not limited to, the installation, repair and preventative maintenance of central plant equipment such as HVAC and refrigeration equipment including both boilers and chillers
- Oversee contracts and service agreements with vendors in matters regarding services, supplies and materials
- Formulate and supervise the implementation of a preventative maintenance program
- Assist in developing budgets, long-range maintenance plan goals and HVAC district planning activities
- Participate in hiring processes, discipline and evaluation of team members
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety codes
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5+ years’ HVAC/plant operations experience
- Extensive knowledge of physical plant operations, maintenance, tools, equipment, practices, methods, hazards, and safety precautions used in the maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
- Oklahoma Mechanical contractor’s license preferred or the ability to obtain within 60 days
- Boiler certification preferred
- Building automation software proficiency required, Tridium Niagara proficiency preferred
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and one-line diagrams to make changes and modifications to systems as needed
- Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions and supervise repairs
- Driver’s license and ability to travel to various campuses within the metro area required
