Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various facilities and equipment. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy working with your hands, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry work, and plumbing repairs
- Repair or replace broken equipment, appliances, or fixtures
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and ensure safety standards are met
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Handy Man or similar role
- Knowledge of basic repair techniques across multiple trades (e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in a relevant trade (e.g., electrician, plumber)
- Experience working in a residential or commercial setting
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
