Overview
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable New Home Warranty Technician to join our home delivery team. This role is essential in assisting new homeowners as they take possession of their home through the warranty period. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of customer service, problem solving and craftsman skills ensuring clients receive exceptional service and support throughout their home-buying journey. In this position, you will coordinate appointments, manage subcontractors and perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including minor appliance repairs, painting, plumbing tasks and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer service:
- Day to day participation in four phases of our business including pre delivery prep, home inspection, home delivery and warranty period.
- Scheduling appointments with new homeowners and meeting with them to assess warranty requests
- Perform pre delivery inspections of new homes, coordinate repairs
- Perform new home orientation and walk through with home buyers
Repairs and Warranty items
- Evaluate warranty requests and coordinate with appropriate trades to complete work
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and appliances to identify any faults or issues, and determine best action to fix the issue
- Fix malfunctioning systems, machinery, plumbing, heating, and electrical components promptly.
- Light drywall, plumbing leaks, woodwork and paint repairs
- Maintain work order records
On-time and Professional:
- Provide appointment confirmations to tenants, show up on-time
- Perform all tasks in a professional and timely manner
- Educate homeowners on proper care and routine maintenance and use to maximize economic life of improvements
Safety and Security:
- Ensure properties are safe for occupants, visitors, and vendors.
- Document any hazardous items or safety concerns
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of Construction experience
- Must have construction tools
- Proven experience in property maintenance or a related field.
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to perform Email communication
- Experience documenting work orders in online software, taking pictures, detailed notes etc
Working Conditions:
- Position involves physical labor, including lifting, carrying and working with construction tools.
- Flexible work hours, including weekends and emergencies.
- Exposure to various weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

- Construction: 5 years (Preferred)
