Job Summary
We are Vassars Service of Richmond and we are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various HVAC units. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and efficiently while ensuring the highest standards of service are met.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including heat pumps, air conditioning systems, and gas heating systems.
- Troubleshoot issues using diagnose tools and schematics to identify problems in HVAC systems.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Physically perform mechanical functions as needed for repairs or installations.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs and service options.
- Document all service work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Ability to learn and use company software systems for tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role in the service industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals.
- Familiarity with refrigerants and compliance with safety regulations regarding their handling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
- Teachable willing to learn
- High ethics and service attitude
- Certification in HVAC or relevant technical training is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $27.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
