Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to diagnose issues and ensure proper functioning of electrical components.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects that may involve frame carpentry or low voltage systems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes during installation and maintenance tasks.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Document all work performed, including any modifications made to existing systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician in both residential and commercial environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across various trades.
