DC Engineering is hiring all levels of Commercial Refrigeration Commissioning Agents!
The ideal candidates should have technical experience within the commercial refrigeration and/or HVAC technical industry.
This position requires 50% plus travel. Local candidates near our offices in Boise, ID or Missoula, MT are preferred, however this position can be done remotely from any location in the US with reasonably close access to a major airport.
Technical certifications preferred for all levels.
Overview of Job Duties - All Levels:
- Develop an understanding of design intentions and theories.
- Work with contractors to understand drawings and contractual obligations
- Field verify installation and operation against design contract documents.
- Conduct remote dial-in reviews of control systems to help diagnose maintenance problems.
- Work with other DC personnel to correctly diagnose installation and operational issues as well as possible programming improvements.
- Prepare reports documenting findings.
- Provide quality control review of design documents, shop drawings, and submittals.
- Provide design guidance and assistance for refrigeration, HVAC and building control systems.
- Professional representation of the firm with clients.
Job Duties, Skills & Experience By Level:
Junior Commissioning Agent: The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of technical experience within the refrigeration and/or HVAC technical industry. The Junior Commissioning Agent will primarily focus on technical field surveys for current project loads, but will also utilize his/her technical experience in support of project commissioning and receive training from senior level agents. Technical certifications preferred.
Mid-Level Commissioning Agent: The ideal candidate should have 5-15 years of technical experience within the refrigeration and/or HVAC technical industry. Refrigeration experience is preferred. The candidate will perform field surveys and will also utilize his/her technical experience in commissioning of mid-level complexity construction projects. The candidate will receive training from senior level CxAs. Technical certifications preferred.
Senior-level Commissioning Agent: The ideal candidate should have over 15 years of technical experience within the refrigeration technical industry. The candidate will perform field surveys but will focus on mid to complex commissioning projects. The candidate will receive initial training but will then provide training for junior and mid-level commissioning agents. Technical certifications preferred.
