Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled maintenance worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be versatile in performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that residential or commercial properties are well-maintained and functional. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Repair or replace broken doors, locks, and hardware.
- Assemble and install furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and fix issues with appliances, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Inspect properties regularly for maintenance issues and resolve them proactively.
- Respond to urgent repair requests as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to occupants.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to local building codes and regulations.
- Manage minor construction or renovation tasks, such as drywall installation, tiling, and flooring repairs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance/repair role.
- Proficiency in basic repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects when necessary.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable).
- Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
- Ability to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including indoors and outdoors
