JOB SUMMARY: The Building Engineer Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of building and property maintenance. The Building Engineer Shift Manager will ensure the completion of daily assignments and supervise the Team Members in the maintenance, repair, and modification of facilities and equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages parking lot repairs, repairs on the building’s exterior, interior repairs of the building, drywall repair, and painting.
- Consistently communicates operational information with the Facilities team, Executive Management, and other departments.
- Assists the General Manager with the planning and development of new projects.
- Responds to department changes as dictated by the industry, the company, or the property.
- Establishes positive working relationships with all vendors.
- Possesses knowledge and expertise as it relates to fire and safety regulations and requirements.
- To communicate constantly with subordinates and Executive Management and consult with other departments with regards to matters arising from the operation.
- Responsible for performing or delegating any other special duties as requested from time to time by Executive Management.
- Ensures efficient follow-up on all work orders submitted by property management and keeps property management informed of anticipated delays in completing the requested work.
- Manage and respond to the changes in departmental functions as dictated by the industry, the company, or the property.
- Must have a complete understanding of the Property’s policy relating to fire, safety, and health.
- Manages and monitors the department fiscal budget and participates in property financial reviews.
- Ensures all equipment functions properly and is also responsible for training team members in equipment.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
- Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training and retention of department staff.
- Coordinates all job assignments, sets work priorities, makes cost-effective assignment decisions, and ensures the completion of projects in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
- To provide BIG Service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
- The ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors.
- The ability and willingness to ensure that work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.

- Assist with training/mentoring new team members as requested.
- Maintain all appearance standards in accordance with established uniform and appearance guidelines.
- Inform the manager on duty of any irregularities and unusual situations when they occur.
- Ability to keep a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high-stress situations and a continuously fast-paced environment.
- Is honest in all interactions and displays a high degree of integrity.
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision or as part of a team is required.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Knowledge of the following is preferred, but not required: HVAC (Boiler and Chiller Operation), Refrigeration (Walk-in Cooler and Freezer Maintenance), Kitchen Appliance Repair, Plumbing Repair, Building Sprinkler System, Electrical, Building Automation System, Commercial Buildings and Properties, and Understanding Preventative and Predictive Maintenance.
- Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
- Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire gaming license
