Ski Technician - Job Overview

Saint Bernard is currently seeking an upbeat, customer-driven, and enthusiastic snow sports enthusiast to join our team.
Applicants should be reliable, outgoing, organized, computer literate, and have strong communication skills. Must have an understanding of ski and snowboard equipment construction and boot fitting. Previous retail experience is helpful, but not required. This is a team environment and we are seeking team players who will assist in other tasks as needed with a positive attitude. We are willing to train the right candidate who has the desire to learn! Applicants should go above and beyond for our customers in order to create a memorable experience for each and every person they encounter. Those hired should come to work everyday energetic, with a positive attitude, and passion for what they do! Keep in mind this is a physical job, so please be ready to lift, move, and work with all ski and snowboard equipment. Personality goes a long way!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm and a genuine smile.
- Ensure you deliver exceptional Customer Service that is consistent and beyond expectations.
- Determine customers' equipment needs.
- Perform quality tunes, mounting, adjustments and repairs to customers' equipment according to established guidelines.
- Adhere to safety procedures regarding use of tools and equipment.
- Complete accurate work order paperwork and prioritize work orders in an expedient manner.
- Ensure pricing is accurate, including any current advertised items and specials.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource to customers.
- Be familiar with the merchandise carried in the store, including brands, key features and benefits, as well as, ability to make accurate suggestions to customers.
- Remain current on ski industry products and trends to share knowledge with customers.
- Attend product knowledge clinics/camps.
Note: Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs dictate.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ski and/or snowboard tuning experience
- Preferred: 1 year service technician experience
- Preferred: Retail and Customer Service experience
- Strong selling and customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer skills, with an ability to learn the register
$20-24 hourly depending on experience *plus commission on sales
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
