We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician with a strong background in industrial manufacturing to oversee day-to-day operations at a 250,000 sq. ft. facility. This facility features 16 production machines, supported by 10 additional machines. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of supervisory or management experience, with expertise in industrial electrical, hydraulic systems, and other related manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise and provide daily direction to a team of 8-10 employees, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety standards.
- Operations Management: Oversee the operation of 16 production and 10 support machines, ensuring efficiency in light-duty industrial manufacturing processes.
- Facility Oversight: Manage a 250,000 sq. ft. facility, identifying and implementing improvements as needed.
- Project Management: Take ownership of short-term projects and actively contribute to long-term initiatives, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
- Electrical & Hydraulic Systems: Troubleshoot and manage industrial electrical and hydraulic systems. Experience with water cooling and compressed air systems is a plus.
- Safety & Compliance: Apply OSHA 10-hour certification knowledge and extensive safety practices to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety training and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Procurement & Vendor Communication: Handle procurement processes, negotiate with vendors, and manage relationships to ensure timely availability of parts and materials.
- Budget Management: Oversee a monthly budget of $40,000, ensuring cost-effective operations and optimal resource allocation.
- Computer Proficiency: Use strong computer skills for data entry, production scheduling, inventory management, and vendor communication.
Education:
- Over 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in industrial/manufacturing settings.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical and hydraulic systems, with additional experience in water cooling and compressed air systems as a plus.
- OSHA 10-hour certification or extensive knowledge of safety practices.
- Strong project management skills with experience in both short-term and long-term projects.
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to manage part procurement and vendor communication.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
