Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, with experience in construction sites and the ability to read blueprints. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). The successful candidate will be proficient in using hand and power tools and possess a solid understanding of electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Use voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NEC standards and local building codes.
- Collaborate with construction teams to integrate electrical systems into new builds or renovations.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations and repairs.
- Participate in site inspections to assess the condition of existing electrical systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, wiring methods, and installation practices.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards.
- Experience using voltmeters and other electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites, including performing frame carpentry tasks as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
