HVAC Installation Technicians - Residential and Light Commercial
Job Title: HVAC Installation Technician
Typical Work Hours: Typical hours 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Additional hours as necessary, including weekends, during peak periods.
Primary Job Functions: Complete the installation and start up of all residential/commercial HVAC systems ensuring they are installed properly according to company standards, local code and manufacturer’s requirements.
- Graduate of an HVAC technical institute
- Basic hand and power tools are needed
- Install all types of Residential and/or light Commercial HVAC systems
- Be proficient in sheet metal measurements and call-ins
- Install air duct systems
- Install refrigerant, steam and water piping
- Install low voltage wiring and controls
- Install and program multi-stage controls
- Install IAQ products as requested
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to endure walking, squatting, bending, balancing, climbing, kneeling, crawling and prolonged standing
- Verify installation to standards, including all final details such as cleaning, stickers, etc.
- Interact with clients to ensure satisfaction and to request referrals
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Knowledge of generators is a plus
Other Duties, Roles and Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions from supervisor and complete in a timely manner
- Site preparation & clean-up
- Maintain a clean truck and job site
- Ability to work staggered schedule (some weekends)
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Complete all required paperwork properly
- Work as a professional with clients, co-workers and subcontractors
- Maintain regular attendance and willingness to work OT and weekends
- Adhere to and promote the Company Core Values
Performance Indicators:
Certain key business indicators that will measure the effectiveness of the Residential Installation Technician. These include the following:
- Timeliness and quality of work
- Client satisfaction
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills
- Level to which safety, professionalism and policies are adhered to
- On time arrivals
- Ability to follow direction
- Correct and timely paperwork
- Obtain NATE certifications as needed
- Attendance of training classes
- Ability to consult on client complaints
